"He's Got You"

Genesis 50:15-21, NIV

Rev. John Donaldson

In 1773, William Cowper was thinking about the goodness of God and the hardships of life when he wrote his most famous poem, “Light Shining Out Of Darkness.” It starts like this.

God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform; He plants his footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm. Deep in unfathomable mines of never failing skill; He treasures up his bright designs, and works His sovereign will.

In the sermon this week, we will be looking at Genesis 50:20 and the providence of God. Here is the one-sentence version of the sermon: Life is hard, but we can totally trust in the goodness of God. Join us on Sunday for more!

Blessings,
Pastor John

News & Announcements

Youth Back & Injury Free!
Thank you all for your prayers and support of the Youth Group! Bryce, the other adult counselors, and the youth made it back Sunday evening from their Ski Trip up to Cataloochee. There was some ice on the slopes, but thankfully, no injuries and a good time was had by all!
Cans, Cans, and More Cans!
Thank you all for the generous support for the canned food drive! We had two pickup trucks filled up with canned foods. PJo Phelps and Jake Harper were in one pickup, Kyle & Sandra Brown and their Grandkids in the other. The food (and a few blankets) were delivered on 2/18/25 to communities still in need in North Carolina.
While in North Carolina, the team was able to visit a site where tiny homes are being constructed to house people who lost their homes during the storm. It was a great day and was amazing to see how God is working through the various projects to help those affected and rebuild in North Carolina. Please continue to keep everyone impacted by the storm in your thoughts and prayers.
