What To Expect
9 AM WORSHIP
The 9 am service is in the Crossroads Connection Center and is a contemporary style worship service. Come as you are! in this service, you can dress as casual or formal as you want, there's no judgement here! Expect the service to be around 50-60 minutes long. There is a Nursery provided for ages infant - 3 years old in the Education Wing and Children ages pre k-5th grades are welcome to attend children's Church in the Farm Room!
11 AM WORSHIP SERVICE
The 11 am service is in the historic Sanctuary on the corner of East Church St. and South Thomas St. This is a traditional style service with liturgy, acolytes, hymns, etc. Most people dress more formal for this service, but again, there is no judgement at Elberton First Methodist, so come as you are! Expect the service to be around 60 minutes long. There is a Nursery for children ages infant - 3 years old.
6 PM EVENING SERVICE
The 6 pm service is in the chapel every Sunday evening. This service is a more laid-back service with a few hymns and devotion. No childcare provided at this time.
SUNDAY SCHOOL & BIBLE STUDIES
EFMC offers multiple Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings. The Mary Freeman and Crosstalk classes both meet on the 1st floor of the Education Wing. A new class for adults is meeting upstairs in the Education wing. The K-5 class meets in the Farm Room (Education Wing, 1st floor). The Youth class meets in the Youth Room (Youth Wing, 2nd floor). Feel free to ask a greeter for directions to any of these classes.
We also have several Bible Studies available. The Soul Sisters group meets at different times throughout the year, be on the lookout for announcements about this group. The Lumberjacks Men's Bible Study meets weekly on Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room. Pastor John leads a study each Thursday night in the Conference Room or on Zoom (ZOOM LINK).
