"People of the Book"

Psalm 19:1-4, 7-14, NIV, NIV

Rev. John Donaldson

In the sermon this week we are looking at Psalm 19. It is about how God is seeking to communicate to us. It may be hard to hear the voice of the Lord, with all the other voices coming at us through the radio, television, phone, internet, etc. All these forms of media utilize radio frequences, and a person needs the right equipment to receive the information. What kind of receiver do we need to hear the voice of the Lord? How does God communicate? More on this in the message this Sunday. Join us for worship at 9 a.m. or 11 a.m.

Blessings,
Pastor John

Evening Chapel Service
Get off your D's and get on your knees.
There are a lot of D's that spring from the unloving kindness of society and culture. It seems that it's no accident that even "devil" starts with the letter D.
God wrote a love letter to us. It teaches us how to avoid the D words, and how to embrace love as a way of life, despite what society throws our way. Hope to see you in the Chapel at 6pm on Sunday. Grace and Peace to you!

Magnolia Estates Service
For many years, EFMC has provided a chapel service at Magnolia Estates, on the last Tuesday of the month at 11:00 a.m. It is a simple service with singing, a message, and prayers. It is always nice to have more people to help with the service -- especially if you like to sing! If you have questions or would like to help with the service, please call the Pastor.

Wesley Ringers
The Wesley Ringers will begin rehearsals for 2025 on Wednesday, January 29th at 5:30 p.m. in the Bell Choir Room. If you would like more information and/or are interested in joining the Bell Choir, please contact Brenda Cann at brendacannmusic@gmail.com.

Soup Ministry Coming -- February 1st
This is a church-wide mission project, and we need your help! Volunteers are needed to prepare homemade vegetable soup, assist with combining the soups and filling containers, and deliver them to homes. Please bring your soup and cornbread to the church kitchen by 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 1st. If you know a neighbor or friend who would benefit from receiving a container of soup, please inform PJo Phelps or contact the church office.
Thank you in advance for your support with this meaningful project.

Youth Ski Trip
If anyone would like to donate money towards food for the Youth Ski Retreat, please let our youth director, Bryce Keely, know!
