"The Marriage Synergy"
Genesis 2:7, 18-24

Rev. John Donaldson

Synergy means two people complement each other to achieve more together; nurture shared goals and honest check-ins to grow closer.
 Dionne Eleanor Reid, from Marriage.com
It is time to buy chocolate and flowers, Valentine’s Day is this coming Saturday! Amidst the joy of celebrating God’s greatest gift to us after salvation – that of loving another person – let’s think for a minute about what would make this, our closest relationship, even better. Does the Bible give us some guidance for more successful marriages? The answer is, of course, yes, the Bible speaks to everything! And one place the Bible talks about marital happiness is found in Genesis chapter two, with the creation of the first couple. Join us Sunday as we look at Genesis 2:7,18-24 and look at the surprising way that God intended marriages to work.

Blessings,
Pastor John

If you are preparing soup, please stop by the church office Monday, February 9 – Thursday, February 12, to pick up individual containers. Prepare your soup, place it in the individual containers, and freeze it. (Please note on top what the soup is and if it contains meat) Bring the frozen soup to the church kitchen on Sunday, February 15. The soup will be distributed the following week.

Missions Announcement
We are partnering with Circle of Life and giving Valentine's and small gifts to residents at Nancy Hart Nursing Center, and a goodie basket for staff. There are 67 residents and 70 staff. Suggestions are hard candy, pocket tissues, chapstick, etc. Items can be brought to the church office, and donations are welcome. Circle of Life has bought hand lotion for the residents, which has a scripture on it. When speaking to a staff member, we were told they would appreciate anything!
