"Hound Of Heaven"
John 21:1-23
Pastor John Donaldson
I fled Him, down the nights and down the days;
I fled Him, down the arches of the years;
I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways
Of my own mind; and in the mist of tears
- Francis Thompson, “The Hound of Heaven”

One of the most interesting facets of Jesus’ resurrection appearances is that he seems to meet people where they are. All the disciple John needed was to see the graveclothes and the empty tomb, Mary needed comfort from her Lord, the Emmaus disciples just needed an explanation, while Thomas needed proof that they weren’t dreaming. And Peter, what did the guilt ridden Peter need? Find out in the message this week, from John 21:1-23.
Blessings,
Pastor John

Mother's Day Offering
This Mother’s Day, let’s celebrate the love and legacy of the special women in our lives by giving back to children in need. With a $5 donation, you can make a gift in honor or in memory of a mother, grandmother, or mother figure who has made a difference in your life. All proceeds will go directly to support the local Foster Kids Program.
About the program:
We currently have 25 kids in Foster Care in Elbert County we also serve Oglethorpe Co where there is about 8-10 kids in Foster Care. In Georgia, becoming a foster parent involves several steps and requirements, including being at least 21 years old, completing an information session, passing background checks, and undergoing training. Foster parents must also demonstrate financial stability and have a home that meets safety standards. The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is the primary agency involved in foster care, and they offer various support services to foster families.
