"First Witness"

John 20:1-18, NIV

Pastor John Donaldson

Tomb, thou shalt not hold Him longer;
Death is strong, but Life is stronger,
Stronger than the dark, the light,
Stronger than the wrong, the right,
Faith and Hope triumphant say
Christ will rise on Easter Day.
I love Phillips Brooks' joyful poem celebrating the resurrection of Christ! Someone said the simplest meaning of Easter is that good wins in the end. Jesus’ victory over death gives us all hope! Remember Jesus’ words to Martha, when near Lazarus’ tomb, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26) Jesus’ victory is a victory for us all! Join us as we celebrate the resurrection this Sunday – 7 a.m., 9 a.m., and 11 a.m.
Blessings,
Pastor John
