Have you ever been judged, or misjudged, by others? This is not a new problem. Evidently even in the early Christian church there was discrimination going on based on appearance! The Lord’s brother does not think we should just let this slide. Sunday School For All Ages @ 10:05 A.M.
Participating in a Sunday School Class is a great way to grow in your faith and to get to know other Christians better. We have classes for all ages starting at 10:05 a.m. Sunday mornings -- just stay after the 9 a.m. Worship Service, or come early for the 11 a.m.!

Song Sermon On September 29th
National & internationally known singer, Ralph Freeman will be sharing a Song Sermon on September 29, at a special 10 a.m. Worship Service at Elberton First Methodist Church. Mr. Freeman has been in music ministry since 1998, singing before Presidents and Popes, and he has developed Song-Sermons, as a new and creative way to share the gospel. There will be one combined service meeting in the Crossroads Connectional Center. Following the service please stay and enjoy lunch in the church Fellowship Hall. The church is providing chicken and ham. If you are plaining to attend the meal, please sign up and indicate what you are bringing to share.

Special Welcome to Sam Brown, Our New Children’s Director
Sam is a native of Hartwell, GA, and served as music director at Cokesbury UMC for twelve years. Sam and his wife, Bree, have been involved in the Elberton community since 2017 with the Elbert Theatre where they serve on the board of directors. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and attending live shows. He is excited to join the EFMC family and begin this new journey.

Mission Emphasis for September and October
We will begin collecting hoodies in September and October. They can be new or used (in good condition) from kids who have already outgrown them, and they can be any size. Beginning in September, bins will be located in the Crossroads Connection Center and Sanctuary entrances to drop off.

EC Food Ministry
The next Food distribution will be on Saturday, September 21, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the truck will deliver on Thursday, September 19, at 11 a.m. The food ministry is asking for donations toward frozen hens to be handed out at the Thanksgiving distribution in November. The cost will be $5,000. Please come out and enjoy serving the needy with us each month, you are needed and appreciated!
