On Sunday, January 7, 2024, the professing members of Elberton First Methodist Church held a church vote to decide if the church should become a member congregation of the Global Methodist Church. The results of the church vote are listed below.
96% of the professing members voted YES, in favor of joining the Global Methodist Church. Our Church leaders will now take the next steps to begin the application process with the Global Methodist Church.
As we take this next step into the future of Elberton First Methodist, we are so excited to see how God will continue to work within us! These last few months have been truly inspiring to see all the great things we have accomplished as a church family and we look forward to the many great things that are coming.
Please be on the lookout for a letter that you should receive in the next few days. The letter will contain important information about your membership at Elberton First Methodist. If you do not receive this letter by Wednesday, January 14, 2024, please contact the church office. This letter should be completed and returned by Thursday, February 1, 2024.
