Connect Groups

Are you looking for a way to build closer friendships and grow deeper in your faith? During the Lent Season (February 22-March 22), the church will be offering Connect Groups for all ages! These groups (formerly known as Sunday School Classes) will meet from 10:05 to 10:50 a.m. Sunday mornings. Read more about the individual groups below.

SUNDAYs

Click on the group names below to read more about the different groups offered.
2-4 Year Olds
This class meets in the Ark Room. Paula McClure leads this class.
5 Year Olds - 2nd Grade
This group meets in the Farm Room (Education Wing, 1st Floor). The group is led by McKenzi Harris.
3rd - 5th Grade
This groups meets upstairs in the Youth Wing. Sam Brown, Children's Director leds the class.
6th - 8th Grade
We are excited to announce the start of 2 different classes for our youth! This group meets upstairs in the Youth Room and is led by Pastor John Donaldson and his wife, Lori.
9th - 12th Grade
Our second youth age group is for high school students. This group is led by Rachel Robinson and meets upstairs in the Youth Wing.
Young Adult Group
We are super excited to announce that we have now have a group specifically for young adults. This class meets downstairs in the Education Wing in the former Crosstalk Classroom which is at the end of the hall on the right. The group is led by Bryce Keely and they are using the Life in Community book by Dustin Willis for their weekly discussion.
Stepping Stones
This is an adult group led by Dave Heydinger upstairs in the Education Wing. The group uses C.S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters for their discussions.
Mary Freeman & Crosstalk
This group has a lot of history. These two groups have been a part of Elberton First for decades and have just recently decided to merge. They use the Wesley Bible Series published by the Wesley Publishing House. They rotate teachers weekly.

Tuesdays

Biscuits and Bibles | Bozeman Building
Youth devotional at 7:00 a.m. in the Bozeman Building. Bring your own breakfast, transportation is provided to school.

Thursdays

Lumberjacks Men's Bible Study | Conference Room
Men's breakfast and study group, begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room. Please contact the church office so we can be sure to get your biscuit order in and add you to the weekly email.

Pastor's Bible Study | Conference Room
The evening Bible study led by Pastor John begins at 6 p.m. the class is simultaneously in-person and via zoom—in other words, you can join us in the Conference Room or via the internet. All are welcome. If you need the ZOOM link, email the church office.
Soul Sister's Bible Study
This women's group is led by Linette Heydinger and meets at different times throughout the year. Currently, the group is on break.
