Do you know what sacrificial giving is?
Sacrificial giving occurs when something personally desired and beneficial is given up. It is neither comfortable nor convenient. In a ‘me first’ society, the idea of sacrificial giving runs against the grain. Yet throughout history, followers of Christ have been known for these sometimes-shocking acts.

Our goal was 34 donations. 42 big-hearted people responded. 7 were deferred. At the end of the day, a grand total of 35 full donations were made.

THANK YOU, DONORS, FOR YOUR SACRIFICIAL GIVING!!

Up to 105 people received these Gifts Of Life within 72 hours of your donations. I hope you realize that you have just participated in one of God’s best mission fields. Your sacrificial gift affects the very life of your blood recipient(s).

Then there are the VOLUNTEERS! No blood drive can be successful without the hard work and dedication of the volunteers. First and foremost, a very special THANK YOU to Mike McGarity and his helpers for setting up for the blood drive! A very special THANK YOU to Zack and Patti McLanahan for texting all of our donors! A very special THANK YOU to Patti McLanahan, Kim Hover and Mary Jo Dye for greeting and registering all of our donors! A very special THANK YOU to Linda Remlinger, Susan Lee, Patti McLanahan, Jill Maycock, Mary Jo Dye, Brenda Cann and P Jo Phelps for providing the spread of snacks for our donors! And last but never least, a very special THANK YOU to Linda Remlinger for organizing all of the food and to Susan Lee for feeding and carefully monitoring our donors while in the Canteen area.

To date, we have hosted 71 Red Cross Blood Drives and have collected a total of 4,715 units of blood.

On behalf of every single patient, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!
