Weekly Reminders

Some things are just part of the rhythm of worship, so common that it is easy to take them for granted. The Lord’s Prayer is like this. It takes about 30 seconds for us to read it together. But when we stop and think about what we are saying together, we realize that this prayer taught by Jesus is incredibly powerful. It speaks to us about our relationship to God, our priorities, our needs, and the dangerous world we live in. Join us in worship this week as we take a closer look at the one prayer we all know by heart.

See you Sunday,
Pastor John

We now have a community food box at the corner of the church parking lot facing East Church Street, and we need everyone's help to keep it stocked! We encourage you to bring nonperishable food items to help fill the box.

Suggested donation items include, but are not limited to:

• Canned goods (pop-top cans preferred)
• Ramen noodles
• Instant oatmeal
• Peanut butter
• Crackers
• Granola/protein bars
• Applesauce pouches
• Shelf-stable pudding cups

Please note: This list is simply a guide! We welcome other nonperishable food items that are unopened, in good condition, and suitable for outdoor storage.

As we prepare for the upcoming Advent season, we are looking for families who would be willing to participate by reading the Advent readings during our Sunday services. If your family is interested in being part of this special tradition, please contact the church office. We would love to have you join us!

It’s time to pack a shoebox!

Boxes are still available for pickup in the Crossroads Connection Center and Sanctuary.

When returning the box, please include a $10 donation to cover the shipping cost. You can place your donation inside the box (on top of all other included items) or in the offering plate.

All boxes are due back to the church on or before SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15. Thank you for participating in this wonderful ministry providing Christmas gifts to children around the world.

Next Sunday, we are hosting a Meal Packing Event with Rise Against Hunger! We are very excited for this opportunity to provide 10,152 meals for those in need around the world. Before the event, we will have a 10 a.m. Combined Worship Service in the Sanctuary.

Everyone volunteering is encouraged to register before the event to ensure an on-time start. If you need assistance registering, please see PJo Phelps this Sunday to sign up.
