"Staying C-A-L-M"
Matthew 14:22-33, NKJV
Rev. John Donaldson

At any given time, everyone is in a storm, coming out of a storm, or getting ready to enter a storm in life. Much of our lives are consumed with dealing with these stormy times! How do you find calm in the midst of the storm? This is the question we’ll be looking at Sunday as we mediate on Matthew 14:22-33. Join us at 9, or 11, or via the livestream!

Blessings,
Pastor John
Hurricane season will soon be here again! One of the leading agencies giving help during the recovery from Hurricane Helene was the Salvation Army. They had food trucks providing hot meals and other assistance across the state. To help with the Salvation Army in an emergency, an individual has to go through their volunteer training. For our region, the training will be at The Salvation Army Gwinnett Corps, 3455 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, 8:30 am to 5 pm, Friday, August 21. If you are interested in attending, more information is available at the church office.
As school starts back and routines begin to settle in, now is a great time to make Connect Groups part of your Sunday morning! We offer groups for all ages each Sunday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. It’s a wonderful opportunity to grow in your faith, build meaningful relationships, and stay connected with your church family. Come join us, there’s a place for you!
Our mission emphasis for August and September will be to bring unisex jogging-type pants, undies, and wipes for pre-k and primary school. When children have accidents, they don’t have extra clothes to wear. We will also find out if our schools need help in other areas throughout the year.

Also, remember, we need your help to fund our Rise Against Hunger event in November! Be sure to designate your offering for "Rise Against Hunger."

Thankfully,
