"Jesus' Words of Comfort"
John 14:1-3, NIV
Rev. John Donaldson
Death is such a scary word. We might be afraid of the loss of control, or the unknown, or the inevitability of it? We might be afraid of pain, or leaving loved ones behind, or simply ceasing to exist? We might be afraid of all these things and more. All of these natural human fears are why our scripture this week is so important. This Sunday, we are looking at John 14:1-3. Read it over and ask yourself, how do Jesus’ words give comfort to our fears?
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”

Join us Sunday as we seek to have more peace today by meditating on Jesus' words about tomorrow.
Blessings,
Pastor John
